Back to Cannock Chase – Getting My Mojo Back

It’s been a little while since I’ve been back out on Cannock Chase, but I finally got the chance to head back up there and do a bit of exploring.
The main reason for the visit was to scout out some new parking spots and locations for my photography workshops, but, if I’m honest, it was also about getting my mojo back.
Sometimes you just need to get out with the camera, have a wander around and see what you can find. There’s no pressure to come home with a particular image. Just being out there, looking around and enjoying the surroundings can be enough.
And Cannock Chase is looking fantastic at the moment.
The weather has definitely started to change, and autumn seems to be arriving very quickly. There’s already a noticeable change in the colours, and the woodland is starting to take on that beautiful autumn feel that makes Cannock Chase such a great place for photography.
It was also a good opportunity to look at some potential new locations and parking areas that could work for future workshops. I’m always looking for different places to take people, rather than constantly photographing the same spots, and there are still plenty of areas of the Chase that I want to explore further.
It was great just to be back out there again. Sometimes a simple walk with the camera is all it takes to get the creative juices flowing again.

I really feel that this morning’s walk was extremely productive. I managed to capture some really beautiful, colourful images that show that lovely transition between the end of summer and the start of autumn.
