Struggling Through Summer, Finding Mojo in Autumn
You know what, this summer has been a bit of a strange one for me as a photographer. The weather’s been gorgeous — blue skies, sunshine, warm evenings — but let’s be honest, that’s not exactly what you want when you’re out chasing landscapes. Clear skies and harsh light don’t give you much drama to work with.

I’ve still managed to grab the odd shot here and there, but nothing like what I’d normally hope for. And I’ll admit, it does get to you. You start to feel that dip in motivation, that little voice saying, What’s the point in heading out if the conditions just aren’t playing ball? My mojo definitely took a hit over the past couple of months.

But… now autumn has arrived, and I can already feel that buzz coming back. The light’s softer, the colours are beginning to shift, and there’s that touch of mood in the air that makes you want to pick up the camera again. Suddenly, I’m back to planning trips, thinking about locations, and itching to be out there shooting.
So yeah — summer might have been a bit of a creative struggle, but autumn has well and truly brought the mojo back. And I honestly can’t wait to share what’s coming next.
